CenoStar Cenospheres are inert, hollow ceramic spheres. They are used to reduce weight in concrete, resins, plastics, ceramics, coatings and paints. Other benefits include increased filler loading, reduced shrinkage, lower viscosity, fireproofing, lubricity and transport savings. Higher Alumina cenospheres have been developed for higher temperature applications such as refractory, foundries and high temperature coatings and flame-retardants.

EconoStar Series:
As CenoStar's standard grade product ES has many uses in concrete, oil drilling, and filler applications.
The three products range in size from < 150 microns, < 300 microns and 300 - 600 microns with specific
gravities of 0.85g/cc, 0.85g/cc and 0.88g/cc respectively.

LightStar Series:
The LS spheres are a flagship product for CenoStar. The LS group is lower in density (0.55g/cc) and has a lighter color (Hunter w67).

STB:
The STB product is a high alumina cenosphere. Unique sources of raw materials enable CenoStar to produce spheres with a high alumina content (40-43%). It is especially suited to high temperature applications including refractory, foundries and high temperature coatings and flame-retardants.

Custom Engineered Spheres:
CenoStar prides itself in our ability and willingness to custom “Engineer” a product to meet your specific sphere needs. Either based on specific gravity, size distribution, color, chemistry, or a combination of specifications, we can develop a product to meet your increasingly demanding applications.
